The Bunurong Environment Centre has earned awards for their high-quality activities and education, so don’t forget to make a stop. Check out the Discovery Room where kids can indulge in hands-on activities, while adults can browse and buy something at the shop.
If you’re keen on learning about dinosaurs, you can also request a trip to the dinosaur fossil site. The centre can arrange it for you through their visitor, school, and holiday programs. You’ll be able to visit the biggest dinosaur fossil site in Victoria, which was discovered in 1991. Since then, over 15,000 fossils have already been collected. An expert palaeontologist supervises these trips as visitors get to explore the dig site, see caves, dinosaur footprints, fossilised trees, lava, and much more.
The Bunurong Environment Centre is located on the corner of The Esplanade and Ramsay Blvd in Inverloch. It’s open every day from 10am to 4pm but is closed on Tuesdays.
