The local council organises Phillip Island New Year’s Eve celebrations, which are always highly anticipated during the holiday season.

Phillip Island New Year’s Eve, 2024/2025 Fireworks, Cowes & Inverloch
Because you’ll be in a beautiful beachside location, there will be lots of space for everyone to lay out picnic mats or even dance while enjoying a good view.
The highlights include kids’ rides, a jumping castle, and Go-Karts. Local bands will play energising music, and local crafts will be available for sale. Don’t miss the fireworks show at 9:30pm!
The Inverloch Recreation Reserve also hosts a New Year’s Eve party from 9:30pm onwards on December 31st. There is also an event at Coronet Bay Foreshore with a fireworks display at 9:30pm.
NYE on the Hill
NYE on the Hill is a three-day, two-night boutique music and camping festival for good-vibing, music-loving friends and friends-of-friends. It’s strictly limited to 3,000 people and takes place in the beautifully picturesque rolling Hills of South Gippsland near Loch Village (95 minutes from Melbourne, 25 minutes from Inverloch, 35 minutes from Phillip Island). The celebrations will occur over New Year’s Eve. Due to NYE on the Hill being on a hill, there is limited flat ground. As a result, the campground is located approximately 500m from the car park. You cannot camp next to your car. Arrive early to secure the flattest sleeping area.
No matter where you decide to spend New Year’s Eve, it will be an unforgettable evening. The only tough time you’ll have is deciding where to spend it!
Can you pls confirm if there will be NYE fire works in cowes?

I have searched far and wide and I have been told that the “end of year fireworks displays will not go ahead in Cowes, Coronet Bay or Inverloch this year. Despite COVID-19 restrictions easing considerably in recent weeks, planning of events like these requires significant lead time and at this late stage with conditions continuing to change, the difficult decision has been made not to host the fireworks displays this year.”
Looking at what events are actually occurring on Phillip Island on New Year’s Eve, the only events i could find information on is at the Phillip Island Golf Club and Hotel Phillip Island.
